There's an extra reason for celebration today as more than 150 graduates and diplomates gather to collect our hard-earned qualifications.

We are happy to learn that we are receiving awards from an institution which has just been rated the UK's top new university! In a major new league table, Nottingham Trent University has hit the number one spot for post-1992 universities. The accolade came courtesy of the Good University Guide, which judges institutions on crucial measures such as student satisfaction and job prospects.

NTU's Vice-Chancellor Professor Neil Gorman believes that the news is a welcome boost for all the students from KBU International college taking part in what is the university's 15th annual awards ceremony in Malaysia. He said: "We were obviously delighted to be recognised as the top new university - and we hope today's award recipients feel truly proud to be part of the worldwide NTU community. They have suycceded in gaining highly-regarded qualifications which stand for4 excellence, professionalism, dedication and ambition. They will undoubtedly go on to rewarding careers which make a significant and lasting contribution to the economic prosperity of Malaysia."
